Of course! June needs to know if I'm going grocery shopping and soon to bring her foodz and treats ... needs to know if I'm just headed downstairs to do laundry and will be back realreal soon ... or needs to know if it's just to the trash room down the hall, so "yes, you can follow me and have a short walkabout in the hallway" ... c'mon sweetie, let's go!!! I always explain where I'll be and how long I'll be gone.

You're not the only one. We always tell our kitties we're leaving, where we're going and when we'll be back. When we return we let them know we're home and ask if they missed us.

Oh Lordy, my mom and dad both do this all the time, and our morning, night, litter box scooping and just about everything is like this. They talk to me and explain things to me like I'm a human and like I give a sh*t. Silly creatures...
I always tell the Ts where I am going and how long I will be gone and what fun we'll have when I return. If I go on vacation, I count out on my fingers how many days I will be gone and explain all the things they need to do while I am gone as well as be good for the cat sitter and to each other. Plus that way I make sure that they are not stuck in a closet or some such fearful place. lol! xo

I absolutely used to do this every day, and also told them that I loved them, to behave while I was gone (ha!), etc.
